RLT May-Rioty Show

And now for something completely different …

RLT May-rioty Show

THE FABULOUS MAY-RIOTY SHOW

In a colourful community theatre collaboration RLT PRODUCTIONS presents THE MERRY WIVES, THE FRANKLIN PLAYERS and PHOENIX RISING in 3 great plays for 2 shows only!

Karen Zaal and Sheila Smith, leading lights of the acclaimed Merry Wives ensemble, and two of the stars of RLT’s recent Summer Funsations Showcase, will be bringing their unique musical and comedic talents to the fore with A Bit of This and a Slice of That, a fun and frothy frolic featuring super songs, brilliant banter and one or two delicious surprises!

Next up Ladies and Gentlemen: The winning production in the recent Franklin & Friends One Act Play Festival, My Middle Name is Angry. Written by Ashley Nader, directed by Jessica Urbani and starring Traci Scerri and Taryn Brehm. When two sisters with vastly different outlooks on life are forced to share an apartment for a week, there are bound to be clashes, tears and plenty of laughs.

And rounding off the programme: Phoenix Rising’s National Arts Festival-bound.

Death’s Reject. Written by Josie Pelzer and directed by Oriela van der Walt. Hazel Brown (Josie Pelzer) is feeling more than a little blue and decides to end it all. However, her hopes of a peaceful eternal slumber are rudely shattered when she finds herself a most unwelcome guest in the lair of the Grim Reaper himself (Graham Shirley). Will kindly but firm Dr Durrell (Oriela van der Walt) be able to coax her back to the land of the living, or will the sinister, scabrous and thoroughly unpleasant Reaper succeed with his own plans for her immortal soul?
