Cause For Alarm
With less than a month to go ’til opening, rehearsals for our mid-year production, “Cause For Alarm” are running full steam ahead!

Our chosen charity for this year is Baby Moses Child Sanctuary and we would like to run a charity drive for them in conjunction with our ongoing 10% ticket sales collection. 10-min Skit Auditions
Please be sure to pull through for auditions this Sunday 1st July at 1pm for our official 10-minute “SKIT” auditions.
This year Franklin will be participating in Protea Stage Production’s “HANG:10” Festival taking place at Tom Newby School, Benoni on the 21st and 22nd of September, as well as RLT’s mid-year variety show on the 3rd and 4th of August – and we will taking a few short skits to these events.
This is a wonderful opportunity for all those who didn’t make it into our mid-year production as well as anyone keen to act but not able to fully commit to the time demands that come with a full length production.
We have a variety of short skits available so there is bound to be a character to pique everyone’s fancy. In addition to participating in the above sister society events, we will also be showcasing these skits at our very own upcoming Quiz afternoon during our mid-year run (stay tuned for more info). As such, those who are cast will have the awesome opportunity to perform three times! Consider the carrot officially dangled – see you on Sunday!
Protea Stage Productions
As mentioned above, Protea will be hosting their first “HANG:10” festival of 10-minute plays this September the 21st and 22nd. Franklin is excited to be taking part in this event and will be casting a few skits this Sunday.
One of Protea’s longstanding members and friend of Franklin is currently performing in an exciting Stardust Theatre production and dare you to give yourself over to sensual desire as their dynamic cast takes you on a strange journey to do the T!me Warp Again! Come up to the lab and see what’s on the slab; with a sweet transvestite from transsexual Transylvania, and his castle full of misfit monsters, and a loving couple who have no idea exactly what a flat tire and a wet night has in store for them! RLT Productions

EADS will soon be casting for their year end panto, “Frozen, The Next Chapter”. Read throughs will take place on Tuesday 3 July @ 19h30 at St Chads and auditions on Thursday 5 July.
