We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Gareth Meijsen on being awarded a scholarship to IMTA New York!!! This is such an awesome achievement and we are super duper stoked that his roots will forever be with us here at Franklin.

CHARITABLE DONATIONS
Just to prove that we do stick to our word and donate a percentage of our ticket sales to chosen charities, we have included herewith a letter of thanks from last year’s chosen charity, the Randburg SPCA.
VIDEO KILLED THE RADIO STAR
AUDITIONS EXTENDED!!!
We have added another two audition days as follows:
Sunday 21st August at 14h30
Monday 22nd August at 19h30
AVAILABLE ROLES:
– 3 non-singing actors from three different generations (gender not specific)
– 4 or 5 strong vocal actors: 2 female, 2 or 3 male (singing a bonus, not essential)
– An ensemble of singers (group and soloists) and dancers
Our big bang year-end musical spectacular is titled Video Killed The Radio Star and promises entertainment through the decades! We start from way back when radio theatre was all the rage and then continue our musical journey through music from the Kings of Soul, Jazz, Rock ‘n Roll, Pop and beyond. Come and enjoy old fashioned entertainment including upbeat music from a whole collection of genres guaranteed to be enjoyed by young and young-at-heart alike. The show will open around late November.
AGM
The date for this year’s AGM will be 4th December at 10.30am – diarise now!
SOCIAL EVENT
Our next social event will be a theatre sports/improv event (think “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”).
It will take place at Emmarentia Dam, September 17th from 1pm.
Please bring along friends, family, a picnic or stuff to braai, and let’s have a laugh and just hang out in the Spring time sun together!
