Hands Across the Sea
by Noel Coward
Light, frivolous, and terribly busy about absolutely nothing. Scatter-brained Piggie is well travelled ... the confusion that arises as a result of her flightiness on one of her travels is unravelled by a group of friends and odd guests over cocktails. It is interesting to watch how ingeneous a scatter-brained lady can be when she is challenged to identify her guests.

The Browning Version
by Terrence Rattigan
"The Browning Version" introduces us to Mr Crocker-Harris and his problems. This highly intellectual schoolmaster who is a complete failure in life, has lately become aware of it, and has decided to accept the fact. His speeches, filled with pathos, show that he is an emotional man. His struggle to control his emotions is also evident. His unfaithful and unsympathetic wife merely deepens his depression. By accepting a teaching post far below his deserved allotment he continues his downward journey to spiritual degradation. There are touching moments when colleagues and pupils show admiration for him, but these are quickly dispelled by the brusque manner in which he is handled by superiors.

The Proposal
by Anton Chekov
"The Proposal" is described by Checkov as "a jest", and that is exactly what it is - but what a delight in the hands of a master playwright! The play is imbued with the spirit of comedy and as a farce it is a most delightful finale to an excellent evening's entertainment.
