Lucky for Some
A Farce by John Dole
Directed by Lena Andrews
"LUCKY FOR SOME" is a farce written by John Dole in 1968. As far as we know, it has not yet been staged in Johannesburg. This is hardly surprising as it requires a truly formidable list of properties. The Franklin Players, however, are always ready to tackle something new, so, this is their first adventure into farce.
Many of our patrons may not be familiar with an English Holiday Camp, the setting of our play. It seems that here everything is well and truly organised from sunrise to sunset. The camp hostess rules with an iron rod, but has a heart of gold beneath her brassy exterior.
