One Act Play Festival

Rehearsals for our Franklin & Friends One Act Play Festival are very much underway and in true Franklin style a little birdie informs me some scripts are already down!! With such a phenomenal start these plays are going to be waxed and polished off in no time so be sure you don’t miss out.

Bookings open soon so start telling those nearest and dearest to you to diarise the following dates: 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th April.

We are on the lookout for a dedicated videographer for the festival, so if you have a passion for filming and want to put something really cool on your resume, this is the perfect opportunity! A humble incentive will be offered for sharing your valuable time and skills with your local community theatre! Contact committee@franklin.org.za for more information.

Protea Stage Productions

Protea’s Margaret Todd Memorial Showcase will take place on 9th and 10th March and Franklin Players are honoured to be participating. An adapted version of our award winning one act play “For The Love of Cheesecake” will be on at 7.30pm on Saturday 10th March. Tickets cost R40 for one night or R60 for both nights, and it would be wonderful to get a Franklin table or three to pull through to show some love and support!

Theatre “Love” Chuckles

“My love for you is like the day we started rehearsing with the orchestra: Terrible, yet exciting.”

“Unlike everyone in Les Mis, my love for you will never die.”

“Are you opening night? Because my heart beats faster when you’re near me.”
